Sept 27th. 1920 Report on the Scenic show, Sept 27-28-29. 1920 Musical Hunters. Play, Bells, Cornet, French Horn, & Violin. They do a little stuff that is ment to be comedy, but no one seemed to get it. The woman in the act is excess baggage. Two special drops in one is the feature of act. Poor. Mildred Haywood. Character Songs. A good performer, gets her songs over in fine shape, act good enough for any house and any spot on the bill. 12 min. in 1. Jack Inglis. Nut Comedian. Pretty speedy for the patrons of the Scenic, but they got him before he was about third way through the act, and then he went fine to the finish and regestered good. 13 min in 1. Capt Betts Seals. A good act of the kind. They seemed to like it this afternoon, but there is a question in my mind, is this kind of an act suitable for a headline on a four act bill. I am of the impression that it is not. 16 min -3 Outside of the first act the show went good. I cannot say it will have any great drawing power. Reddy Oct 7th. 1920 Report on Scenic show Oct 7th. 1920 Benrell Brothers. Xylophone, Dancing & Singing. just a fair small time act, all right for the opening number. 9 min in 1. Creedon & Walsh. Singing & Nonsense, mostly nonsense. For no reason in the world this act went over very good. It seems that acts of real merit die in this house and horse-play acts get every time. 13 min in 1. Princess Nal Tai Tai. The Oriental Lark. The singer seemed to be suffering from a bad cold, because last season when she played here her voice clear and strong but today it seemed to be husky and weak, but act went well never-the-less. 11 min in 1. Lela White's Minstrel. A good act, nice costumes, stage setting with the usual singing, dancing & jokes we get in all minstrel acts. 20 min in 3. Went good. Orchestra away off this afternoon and show did not run as smooth as it ought to.
