PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S OCTOBER 4th, 20. KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Very good. LOUISE & MITCHELL - (14 mins.) A man and woman acrobatic turn. A little comedy is used but the value of the act is in the work of the woman who does the understanding. JOSEPH M. NORCROSS - (14 mins.) This old couple was very warmly received. They sang old time songs, did a bit of stepping at the finish and closed very strong. BRADLEY & ARDINE - (18 mins.) A very pretty dancing act by a young fellow and girl, with a piano accompanist. Their stuff has plenty of variety and is very well done. The act is beautifully staged and dressed. A big applause hit. FALLON & SHIRLEY - (18 mins.) We were very much surprised how well this act went after reading two or three other reports. As a matter of fact it was a big laughing hit for us and so far as our audience is concerned was an improvement on the former act of Fallon & Brown which we played last season. "INDOOR SPORTS" - This sketch is a very good laughing hit. It is along the lines of broad farce but is very well handled and the comedy brought plenty of laughs. Closed strong. (21 mins.) CHARLES F. SEMON - (16 mins.) This is his first appearance in this house in a long while and he got over in very good shape. He is doing a little bit more of a musical act than in former years and with comedy mixed in, did very well. HACKETT & DELMAR - (28 mins.) A very elaborate dancing act, beautifully staged and dressed. It is a fast stepping aggregation all the way through and with plenty of variety and action to it. It made a very strong impression held down the headline spot in a thorough satisfactory manner and closed to a big hand. RUTH ROYE - (14 mins.) She was as big a hit as ever and in the next to closing spot put over a smashing hit. She was called back for an extra number after her regular program and closed very big. LORIMER HUDSON & CO. - This is a nice cycling act by two girl and two men, one of the latter doing comedy. Did very well in the closing position. (7 mins.) GENERAL REMARKS - This is another show full of color and comedy and should keep the present capacity business going for another week. CUTS FALLON & SHIRLEY - Eliminate work "liar" and use "maybe the author was not telling the truth." Eliminate the "Must I tell" gag altogether. "INDOOR SPORTS" - Do not use the expression "My God." RUTH ROYE - Do not use "My Gawd" in song.
