PROVIDENCE. R. I. E. F. ALBEE OCT. 25th, 1920 We have an excellent bill this week, there are one or two acts that I don't care a lot for, but they got by in a satisfactory manner and as a whole the entertainment gave a lot of satisfaction. CHAS. LOVENBERG. REDFORD & WINCHESTER: Well known comedy juggling act which made a lively opener and pleased. 14 min. full stage. MASON & COLE: An attractive looking juvenile couple who have a flirtation act built on new lines which they got over in splendid style by their personality and appearance. An act that is good enough to go further down on any bill. 15 min. in one. JANET OF FRANCE: An act of talking, singing and piano playing, presented with a very elaborate set of draperies, containing considerable comedy and Mr. Hamp's ability added to that of Miss Janet helped to make the act attractive. 14 min. full stage. WANZER & PALMER: Man and woman in an act composed entirely of talking, the woman a sort of a reformer and the man a coal team driver on a holiday. the latter has bright lines which were fairly well delivered, and pleased. 14 min. in one. GUIRAN & MARGUERITE: This is to my mind, the best dancing act we ever had aside from the great big ones. For two people, they present a great deal and present it well. From point of applause, they were the second big hit of the show. 11 min. full stage. THE [ROSKJAS?]: Comedy musical act. I don't care much for this. 14 min. in one. LAURA PIERPONT & COMPANY: A well put on symbolic sketch which Miss Pierpont plays very well indeed and in which her support is as bad as she is good. The price is beyond all reason. Went very well with the audience, but if they had known what the act was getting, I think they would have hollered at it. 24 min. full stage. VERNON STILES: Tenor vocalist assisted by a pianist. The great big applause hit of the show. 18 min. in one. FOUR LAMEY BROTHERS: Casting act with a little comedy interpolated. They do some of the best work we have ever had in this line and held the audience almost intact. 8 min. full stage. CUTS: REDFORD & WINCHESTER: Please cut all reference to "cooties" JANET OF FRANCE: Do not sing to anyone in the audience - cut Mr. Hamp's line "Go as far as you like." LAURA PIERPONT: Cut "Hell."
