PROVIDENCE. R. I. E. F. ALBEE DEC. 20th, 1920 The show plays very nicely indeed this week, and our business is much better than we have reason to expect at this time of the year. CHAS. LOVENBERG. HURIO: Gymnast doing hand balancing on pedestal and work on rings. Might call it a fair act. 10 min. full stage. CHARLES LEONARD FLETCHER: In impersonations and character sketches. Gave every evidence of satisfaction. 17 min. in one. THREE RUBES: Well known comedy acrobatic act which went decidedly well. 11 min. open full stage close in one. YVETTE: Violinist and singer, accompanied by pianist and saxaphonist. Act went quite well, although personally I don't think an awful lot of it, because of the amount of jazz introduced, which I think is being pretty well played out. 20 min. full stage. MILT COLLINS: Political monologist. He got considerable in the way of laughs, but I am afraid that some of his material is dangerous politically. If one started to cut it, the whole act might be eliminated. 12 min. in one. LOYAL'S DOGS: One of the best acts of its kind we ever had. Big hit. 9 min. full stage. RUBY NORTON: A very clever performer who sang a number of songs of varied character and got them over to a decided hit. 20 min. in one. GOERGE JESSELL & COMPANY: Mr. Jessell is unquestionably a very clever performer and at least one of his Company, the character woman, give a splendid rendition of an old Jewish woman. The rest of the cast are acceptable and the act as a whole made good. 48 min. opening in one, long enough to make his set and can do a close in one if necessary. Closing the show here he held every person in their seats until the finale.
