PROVIDENCE. R. I. E. F. ALBEE DEC. 27th, 192L We have one of the most satisfactory bill we have played in a very long time. One hit following another all through and I look for a good business this week. CHAS. LOVENBERG DEVERRO & ZERMATER: Two men in black face, giving an old fashion horizontal bar act, interspersed with some comedy talk. The talk amounts to little, but the work on the bars is quite clever. 8 min. full stage. CLINTON & ROONEY: Songs and dances in which dancing predominates, and which as a whole was most cleverly done. Quite a satisfactory number 2 act. 15 min. in one. ERIC ZARDO: Concert pianist. I believe Mr. Zardo is the most satisfactory instrumentalist we have on the circuit, to his genuine ability as a musician he adds excellent showmanship. He was one of the big hits of the show. 14 min. in two. can work in one. THE LEIGHTONS: The Lieghtons went very well indeed with their singing of the blues which I believe they do better than anyone else in vaudeville, but it would have been very pleasing had they brought one new song. They are doing the same program as when they appeared on our circuit several years ago. 12 min. in one. JACK KENNEDY & COMPANY: In a clever sketch that seemed to amuse. 24 min. full stage. AL. & FANNIE STEDMAN: These folks of course were the big laughing hit of the show. 20 min. in one. MAY WIRTH & COMPANY: A terrific big hit, deservedly so by having being the best circus act in the business. 13 min. full stage. LEO CARILLO: Held this very difficult spot in a fairly satisfactory manner. Would have been much better had he had one new joke. His material is exactly the same as when on his previous vaudeville tour. 20 min. in one. GIRARD'S MONKEYS: Fairly satisfactory act of that kind, which pleased the children and didn't offend closing the show. 7 min. full stage. CUTS: CLINTON & ROONEY: Please have Miss Rooney wear stockings, and not appear with bare legs. JACK KENNEDY & CO: Cut "Sons Of Guns" and "Why the Hell?" LEO CARILLO: "Son of a gun" and "Damn good notion."
