PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S JANUARY 24th 1 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Very good. JACK & KITTY DEMACO - (8 mins.) A very good novelty and made a very good opening number. Closed to a good hand. DUVAL & SYMONDS - (13 mins.) This act did very well with their comedy talking and songs. Got plenty of laughs and finished to a good hand. JACK KENNEDY & CO in "A Golf Proposal" - (24 mins.) We played this sketch last year and it repeated very well for us. It is an excellent comedy, well played, contains lots of good laughs and went over big. PATRICOLA - (17 mins.) She was a tremendous hit. Almost all of her numbers are new and each one scored solidly. Patricola has improved since last year and undoubtedly is one of the big hits of the show. ERNEST THOMPSON SETON - (17 mins.) This act is a copy of the one Kelley presented in vaudeville several seasons ago but not near so interesting. It is too talky and lacks features like the Kellog act to arouse the interest of an audience. It was given only light attention and closed to a fair hand. As the week goes on however, he probably will be a good novelty feature as he lends himself well to publicity but as far as pleasing a regular vaudeville audience is concerned he will not score very well. ALEEN BRONSON in "Late Again" - (17 mins.) Following the Seton act Miss Bronson did not get them started for a few minutes but finally picked up the laughs and from that on, it was easy sailing for her and at the finish she was going very strong. Her act is about the same as last season and was very well liked. EVA SHIRLEY & CO. - (17 mins.) Proved a very good repeater. She has made very little change in her routine of songs but this is about the only criticism that could be made on the act but it went over in great shape and closed very strong. ECKERT & MOORE - (14 mins.) A good comedy turn by two men. Most of their talk is of the "nut" variety and it got a lot of laughs. The act is well dressed and finished with a song that did very well. LOYAL'S DOGS - (9 mins.) One of the best animal novelties we play and an excellent act to have on the bill with Seton who talkes a lot about animals. Did very well. GENERAL REMARKS - Although the Seton act was a bit slow for the headline position it had it well surrounded and a shift after the first matinee gave us a very satisfactory bill. CUTS "Topics of the Day" - Owing to the fact that we have cut "Short skirts show two good reasons" we also eliminated it from "Topics".
