PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S January 31st, 1 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Pictures fairly good. Pictures good. POWELL & VERNIE - (11 mins.) A very nice dancing act by a girl and boy, the former making her changes in view of the audience. They do a fairly good routine of stepping and did very nicely in the opening spot. JUNE MILLS & COMPANY - (12 mins.) A rough comedy singing turn that got a lot of laughs and closed strong. The woman resorts to a lot of low comedy with her songs but gets it over and she has good assistance from a man who sings in the orchestra pit. NASH & O'DONNELL - (21 mins.) in "Almost Single" - An excellent comedy sketch. Contains a cross-fire of comedy lines from start to finish and most of them brought big laughs. The sketch is very well played, prettily staged and was a big sized hit. ERIC ZARDO - (14 mins.) One of the big applause hits of the bill. His numbers are all classical but his execution is wonderful. Was given the strictest attention by the audience and closed to a very good hand. DE HAVEN & NICE + (17 mins.) Did very well with their eccentric comedy and dancing. It is something away from the ordinary and closing with some clever eccentric stepping they got over in very good shape. (CLARA HOWARD) (17 mins.) This girl has some very good songs and also handles a lot of snappy comedy along with her numbers. She puts plenty of snap into her work and got a lot of laughs. Her songs scored solidly. An excellent single. JOSEPH E. HOWARD & COMPANY in "Chin Toy" - (30 mins. About the best act that Howard has given us and was a big applause winner. He does little himself except a medley of old-time songs, all of them going big. Etylyn Clark's specialty stood out strong. They have some good dancing and a specialty by Chinese. Entire act is well presented. INNIS BROS. - (16 mins.) A very good next to closing comedy turn. They do a lot of "nut" comedy and eccentric dancing and got a lot of laughs with a routine of tangled talk. Finished with some fast stepping and closed to a good hand. HOWARD'S SPECTACLE - (12 mins.) The usual hit and a very good closing number. Continues to be one of the best acts of its kind in vaudeville. GENERAL REMARKS - An excellent bill from start to finish and one of the best playing shows we have had in some time. Comedy and songs form a big feature and there is plenty of speed to the whole show. CUTS Joseph E. Howard & Co. - Word 'Damn' Nash & O'Donnell - 'Damn' Innis Brothers + Words "God Help Us". [Howard?]
