REPORT OF BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I., Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 3, 4 and 5. LONNIE MACE--- "Singing Comedienne"--Talking and singing. This act did not go over very good here--nothing doing until the finish when she received a light hand. 7 min. in one. TONY CORNETTA TRIO--- In a Comedy Skit Entitled "I. C. ICE"--Two men and a woman. Talking, singing and dancing. This act received plenty of laughs thro their act but a light hand at finish. 15 min. in one. BARKER & DUNN--- Two men. In a singing Revue entitled "A Marathon of Song" Introducing some comedy. This act received a few laughs thro act and a big hand at finish. Open in finish and close in one. 16 min. TROVELLO & CO.-- Ventriloquial Comedy Drama. One man, two "dummies" and a woman. Man does all the work. This is the worst act of its kind we ever had here. Trovello seems "Dopy"--no life to his act. He received a few laughs thro his act and a fair hand at finish. 13 min. full. [Signature: A. S. Watson] Scenic Report on the Scenic show Jan 17th. 1921 Jennier Bros. "Trapeze" A very good act. 6 min in 4. Emma O'Neil. Comedy Singing & Talking. Got a lot of material that is not suited to her style, works the prohibition stuff to death, result the act suffers. Very little applause, just a fair act. Murdock & Kennedy. Talking & Dancing. Eccentric dancing in act quit good, the act as a whole a fairly good small time act. Bison City Four. A good quartette, went very good. It seems a pity that a good sing quartette resorts to a lot of horse-play comedy to the detriment of the act. would be a splendid act without the horse-play.
