PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S MARCH 7th 1 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Pictures good including some of the inauguration ceremonies. "Topics" all comedy and good for laughs. THE SILVERLAKES - (5 mins.) A very good aerial act without showing anything new. Did all right as an opener. FINLAY & HILL - (19 mins.) A good singing turn by three people, one of the men doing comedy, getting a lot of laughs and finishing to a good hand. LOVENBERG SISTERS & NEARY - (17 mins.) The act they are doing this season is the equal, if not a little better than anything they have presented as a trio and it makes a very good singing and dancing act. Got plenty of applause, some laughs and closed strong. CHARLES LEONARD FLETCHER - (22 mins.) His first appearance here in sometime and he did very well with a series of character studies. All of them were very well done and he finished with a comedy number that took him off to a very good hand. WHITE & LEIGH & COMPANY in "Cherie" - (30 mins.) Vaudeville can easily find a place for the revival of this old-time farce. It is just as funny and got just as many laughs as it did years ago. It was one of the big hits of the bill and closed strong. QUIXEY FOUR - (21 mins.) These boys put over a full sized hit just ahead of the feature act. They have an excellent routine of vocal and instrumental music and did two or three extra enchores. HARRY CARROLL & COMPANY - (33 mins.) While a bit shorter than when it played for two weeks here last summer, this act was a big applause hit from start to finish. Carroll presents almost an entirely new company. The act still has a lot of class, catchy music and was a big hit. GIRARD BROS. - (5 mins.) A two man hand-to-hand balancing act with a routine of showy tricks, all well done and it made an excellent closing act. GENERAL REMARKS - This show has plenty of comedy and "pep" and with the Harry Carroll act, which was a tremendous hit here last summer. as a headliner, it is a very satisfactory bill from start to finish. CUTS FINLAY & HILL - After "You'd be surprised" do not make any remark. Also eliminate "Can't you sing without feeling."
