PROVIDENCE. R.I. E. F. ALBEE. APRIL 4th, 1921 We have a particularly good bill this week, nothing fell down and almost everything made decided hits. CHAS. LOVENBERG. MAXINE BROTHERS & BOBBY: Well known hand balancing and gymnastic act of which the principal feature is the dog and which scored very well in the opening position. 10 min. full stage. GREEN & MYRA: Young man and woman, in an act of violin playing, ragtime singing and dancing. A fair act which answered in this spot. 14 min. in one. EDWIN GEORGE: In the same act which he has been giving us some many years now and it seems to me it is time to change a few of his jokes despite the fact that he got laughs with them. I would not care to play him again until his act is materially changed. 15 min. in one. LOU & GENE ARCHER: Very picturesque act displaying some striking costumes and elaborate draperies. The work of the people in dancing is good, the singing fair. Altogether it is a very good act. 16 min. full stage. "BLACKFACE" EDDIE ROSS: This man got many laughs, unquestionably because of his personalitu. He certainly has dug back a long ways to get some of his material which was probably willed to him by the late Charlie Case. His banjo playing is exceptionally good and he made a real hit. 19 min. in one. SANTOS & HAYES REVUE: The best act of its kind we have ever played and I have never known a bigger hit in this house. 50 min. full stage. ROME & GAUT: I was greatly surprised to see how this act held up following the knock-out of the preceding feature. I was afraid that they would not be able to hold their own, which they more than did. A mighty good act for any spot on the bill. 10 min. in one. LUCAS & INEZ: Man and woman in an act of gymnastics. Act as graceful and prettily done as anything we have ever had. They held the audience intact at both performances, received plenty of applause throughout and a strong hand at the finish. 7 min. full stage.
