Boston Keith's May 2, 1921 Topics of the Day: Fair The Four Ortons: 7 min full stage Lively wire act with plenty of comedy. Made a good opener. Boyce Combe: 16 min in 1 A poor spot for this man, would do much better later on the Bill. Went well considering. Whipple & Houston: 20 min in 1 spec. This act has played here quite a few times, but they went over very well. Janet Adair: 13 min in 1 Miss Adair has a program of songs and put them over in good style. Ford & Cunningham: 26 min in 1 spec. Clever talking and singing act but much too long. Went over well and closed to a good hand. Pearl Regay & Co. 24 min full stage spec. Miss Regay assisted by her five piece jazz orchestra and Roy Sheldon, made a good flash and put over a nice sized hit. Clara Morton: 15 min in 1 and 2 Some spot for this girl but she more than made good closing to a big hand. Jack Norworth: 30 min in 1 and 2 The best program of songs he has used for years and with the assistance of Miss. Adair in a little talking skit closed the show finely and put over a hit. Pathe Weekly: Good. Cuts: Boyce Combe: Please eliminate the word "Damn" in the line "That's damn funny: Clara Morton: Please eliminate the line in one of your songs relative to "Ireland being free". Any mention of this subject has to be out even in the Pathe Weekly and the Topics of the Day as opinion here is much divided and is apt to cause a demonstration in the audience 165
