PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S May 16th, 1 "PATHE NEWS" & "TOPICS" - Pictures average fair. "Topics" very good. Got a lot of laughs. SUTTER & DELL - (7 mins.) Two man bicycle act, one working comedy. A very good routine of straight riding and comedy tricks and did nicely in the opening spot. THORNTON & HOLLAND - (13 mins.) Did just fair with comedy talk; a couple of songs and a bit of dancing. Got a few laughs but closed rather lightly. Act needs some snap. HOWARD & WHITE - (18 mins.) Some time since we played this sketch but it is still very well done by two people. Got over in a very good shape, getting a lot of laughs. DOTSON - (16 mins.) One of the biggest applause hits we have had in the house in a long time and ought to be a riot on any bill and capable of holding a good spot. He is not only a wonderful dancer but a clever comedian and had the house in a roar. FRANK A BURT, Assisted by Myrtle Rosedale - (15 mins.) Did very well with comedy and musical act. Some good comedy, well handled, and a bit of eccentric dancing by the man brought them a big hand. The act closed to good applause. WHITING & BURT - (23 mins.) Returning in an act along their original lines this couple was very well received in a series of songs. It is now the same as it was before, one of the best singing turns of its kind and went big. SANTOS & HAYES REVUE - (49 mins.) This act lives up to all that has been said about it in other reports and there is nothing to be added. It was a tremendous applause hit from start to finish and ought to create a lot of talk. It contains more good material than any of the revues that we have played. LA TOY & VESTA - (12 mins.) Starting with several minutes of talk that is not very good, this act did not do so well in the closing spot. Their acrobatic stuff is all right but they are a little bit too long getting to it. Closed only fair. GENERAL REMARKS - With the Santos & Hayes Revue very well surrounded this show will be thoroughly satisfactory after speeding up. It was a little long the first show but went through flying and scored solidly. CUTS SANTOS & HAYES - Have the dancer cover her body a little more.
