Boston Keith's May 16, 1921 Topics of the Day: Fairly good Chester & Warren: 5 min full stage Two men in an exceptional tumbling act. Made a fair opener. Caits Bros. 11 min in 1 This well known dancing team went over very well indeed. Mabel Burke:& Co. 16 min in 3 spec. These girls harmonize well and have a neat setting. Seemed to please and closed to a fair hand. Swift & Kelly: 17 min in 1 Good comedy talking act, got plenty of laughs and closed to a fair hand. Mrs Gene Hughes: 23 min full stage. This is a new comedy here and went well at the evening show. Exceptionally well played and closed to a pretty good hand. Al & Fanny Stedman: 19 min in 1 A big hit and the first real punch in the show. Kitty Gordon:& Co. 27 min full stage spec. Miss Gordon with the assistance of a clever dancer, good pianist and girl soprano gave a pleasing entertainment and closed to good hand. Her gowns are very beautiful. Jack Wilson: 30 min in 1 About the same routine as when he last playe here on the bill with Miss Gordon. Much of Wilson's material is very objectionable and it was necessary to make quite a few cuts. If the act was cleaned up properly, he would be left with very little to offer. CUTS: Mrs Gene Hughes: Please eliminate the word "damn" from your act. Al & Fanny Stedman: Please eliminate business of snuffing coke. Jack Wilson: Please eliminate the lines "You need Holy Water" both references to "Burn my clothes," "Griffith's" and "Birth of a Nation" gag and business of thumbing nose and kicking man in seat of trousers.
