PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S AUGUST 22nd 1 AESOP'S FABLES & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Very good. REDDINGTON & GRANT - (7 mins.) Two men aerobatic on trampolin mat. A very good acrobatic novelty with special set and a very good opener. MC CLOUD & NORMAN - (11 mins.) These two men did very nicely in this spot with their instrumental music. Both good musicians. MORGAN & BINDER - (16 mins.) Two girls added to the bill after the first show. Did very well with comedy talk and songs and closed to a fairly good hand. ED. JANIS REVUE - (16 mins.) This act has improved considerably since we played it last and is now a very good dancing number that got over strong. LANG & VERNON 0 (14 mins.) A low comedy turn by a man and woman. the former is a funny "nut" comedian and they got a lot of laughs with their comedy talk. TARZAN - (9 mins.) This is his third time in this house but he still is a good novelty and gets enough out of his comedy to put the act over. BERNARD & GARRY - (12 mins.) Two boys, working in black-face, with straight songs and imitations. Both have good voices, and their songs scored. Finished strong with some fast stepping. FRANK WILCOX & CO. - (21 mins.) A very good comedy sketch with six people in the cast. Plenty of action and the comedy situations are numerous and well worked out. The act scored a laughing hit and closed strong. MARION HARRIS - (22 mins.) With her reputation as a phonograph star this girl was a big draw and scored a tremendous applause hit. Her songs are all popular and she gives them an individual twist. She is using Lou Handman at the piano. We can safely she is one of the best single turns of her kind we have played this season DAVIS & PELIE - (5 mins.) Two men in a routine of hand-balancing. Their work is showy and well handled. Did unusually well in the closing spot. PATHE NEWS - Average very good. CUTS Lang & Vernon - Words "Filthy Thing"; "Oh Hell" and thumbing nose.
