PHILADELPHIA B.F.KEITH'S SEPTEMBER 12, 1 AESOP'S FABLES & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Both very good. THREE LORDONS - (8 mins.) A very good casting act by three men, one in comedy make-up. They have a very good routine of tricks and handle all cleverly. A very good opener. HELEN MORETTI - (10 mins.) This girl has an unusually good voice and was a very big applause hit. WALTER NEWMAN & CO. in "Profiteering" - (19 mins.) A first class comedy sketch with three persons employed. It got a lot of laughs, is timely and well played. Closed to a very good hand. WALTER CLINTON & JULIA ROONEY - (18 mins.) First appearance here for this act in several years and it was a good sized hit. The stepping got a big hand and the comedy brought a liberal amount of laughs. The act did very well all the way. HORACE GOLDIN - (17 mins.) "Sawing A Woman In Half" - Undoubtedly the greatest illusion of its kind seen in years and held our audience stunned. It is not only a medium of great advertising value but the act itself is one that is sure to create a great deal of talk. Our audience was talking about it right through to the end of the show and we expect it to be one of the biggest hits of the year. EMILY DARRELL - (15 mins.) She picked up the show splendidly after the Goldin act and in a few minutes had her audience well in hand. Her act has been freshened up since we played it last and closed to a big hand. THE FORD DANCERS - (18 mins.) One of the applause hits of the show. There is plenty of dancing and lots of variety to it. The act is beautifully dressed and presented and was a big applause winner. WELLINGTON CROSS - (21 mins.) His arrangement of songs, stories and travesty bits forms one of the best offerings he has ever given us and was a big laughing and applause hit in the next to closing spot. CORRADINIS ANIMALS - (9 mins.) Good animal act and made a very satisfactory closing number for this show. PATHE NEWS - Very interesting. GENERAL REMARKS - Built especially to surround the Horace Goldin act which we "circused" strongly, the show played satisfactorily and scored with a capacity audience at the first show. -CUTS- Clinton & Rooney - I don't know any dirty stories.
