The Story: Shaytan, the Evil Spirit, during the absence of the master, enters the Sheik's Harem, disguised as a seller of precious stones. Casting his evil spell on Zeraida, the Sheik's favorite, he carries her away in his jewel chest. When he arrives at his mountain retreat he opens the chest, feasting his eyes on the stolen treasure. His advances being repulsed, he vents his fury by lashing Zeralda unmercifully. To escape further punishment, she dances for him, whereupon Shaytan casts aside his whip and removes her chains. She tricks him into the chest and locks it, dancing on top for joy at her release. Her jubilation being interrupted by Shaytan's furious struggle, she further secures him by chaining the lock of the chest with her castoff shackles and dashes away to return to her master.
