PROVIDENCE E. F. ALBEE OCTOBER 10, 1921 We have a splendid bill this week regardless of the fact that it is somewhat conflictory. The audience did not seem to notice these conflictions, which is a little too much singing but because of the quality of each, appreciated each act and there were many hits. CHARLES LOVENBERG HERMAN & SHIRLEY - This well known contortion sketch got its usual quota of applause but has been seen here too much to be of any further value. 12 minutes full stage. FOLEY & LATURE - Man and woman in a very bright arrangement of popular hits which they rendered effectively securing considerable applause, both during and at the finish of the act which contains also quite a little comedy. 14 minutes in one. JOE DARCEY - I expected more of the black faced comedy from this man than a singer. His talk amounts to little but he renders his songs in an effective manner, scoring a tremendous hit, in what was, of course, a very easy spot. 24 minutes in one. EDWARD ESMONDE & CO. - In a fairly good little sketch introducing a bit of very fine piano playing by the youngest lady and finishing with "Loves Old Sweet Song", nice little turn. 16 minutes full stage. PATRICOLA - Singing comedienne with a little violin playing. This lady did much better for us this trip than on her previous appearance, in fact, scored a decided hit. 14 minutes in one. FRANCES PRITCHARD AND COMPANY - In a very unusual dancing act introducing a little singing. A very attractive offering with which the audeince was highly pleased. 20 minutes full stage. Very short opening in one. CRAIG CAMPBELL - Tenor assisted by Mr. Hector MacCarthy at the piano. Mr. Campbell, as usual scored strongly with a fine program of semi-classical and old fashioned songs. The best in his line that we play. Mr. McCarthy at the piano is a great acquisition. 17 minutes in one. TWO LITTLE PALS - A nice tabloid musical comedy which filled all requirements.
