PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S OCTOBER 17th, 1 AESOP'S FABLES & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Up to the average. JOHN & NELLIE OLMS - (14 mins.) Very good magic act. Man does some excellent palming stunts and the act did very well as an opener. YOUNG & WHEELER - (15 mins.) Two man musical act, piano and violin, playing popular music. Both good musicians and very well liked. BERT ERROL - (21 mins.) His bits of comedy help considerably and his impersonations are, as usual, high class. He makes a change to male attire and back to female garb which varies his offering. Closed to a good hand. EDITH TALIAFERRO in "Under The Same Old Moon" - (26 mins.) An unusual and artistic series of episodes in sketch form. The popularity and talent of the star gives this act strong support. It is prettily staged, novel and proved very interesting. Miss Taliaferro was very well received. DAPHNE POLLARD - (17 mins.) One of the biggest comedy hits we have played in a long time and especially good for a woman single. She is a clever eccentric comedienne, with a method different from others, and a sure-fire laugh. HAMILTON & BARNES - (18 mins.) Their talk, while very quiet, and slow starting, proved an excellent contrast to that of Miss Pollard's act and they did very well in this spot, getting plenty of laughs. FORD SISTERS - (23 mins.) The best act these girls have given us and a big applause hit. The music of their band with specialties and the vocal numbers introduced between dances built the act up into a real production and the fast stepping finish by the girls, in attractive costumes, rounded out a really fine production and a deserved hit. BOBBE & NELSON - (16 mins.) Their comedy singing turn gave us a big applause winner in this important position. Act little changed but their songs got over in great shape. REYNOLDS DONEGAN COMPANY - (12 mins.) The usual hit in the closing position. A little long for a late show but their work is high class with plenty of variety and all of it well done. PATHE NEWS - (4 mins.) A good variety of pictures. GENERAL REMARKS - Although this bill appeared heavy and took extra care in laying it out it played splendidly. Had several big hits in the most important spots and gave general satisfaction. CUTS BERT ERROL - Use of word "Hell" and expression "Thank God" HAMILTON BARNES - Use of word "Hell"
