PHILADELPHIA B.F.KEITH'S NOVEMBER 14, 1 FABLES & "TOPICS" - (14 mins.) In addition to "Topics" this week we ran a special cartoon on business propaganda. It is good propaganda and our audience paid attention to it but gave no appluse or other recognition. It no doubt interested the business men and created discussion. TAYLOR, HOWARD & THEM - (11 mins.) Here is an excellent novelty. We were forced to open the show with it but it could easily have held a more important spot and number three or four it ought to bring big results. The various animals used by the man in itself something unusual. and created a great deal of interest. There is some comedy talk in addition. Act I saw in Boston [Cliffie?] The act also lends itself to unusual advertising stunts in lobby display etc. RYAN & RYAN - (10 mins.) A very good dancing act by a fellow and girl. We have played it before and it brought equally good results. PARLOR, BEDROOM & BATH - (30 mins.) Good farce and a liberal laugh-winner. Stretched out a trifle long, but there is plenty of action and it got good results. MR. LEO BEERS - (16 mins.) His first appearance here in some time and he scored a big hit. LIGHTNER GIRLS & NEWTON ALEXANDER - (36 mins.) A good flash and an excellent musical comedy act. Plenty of "pop" and the dancing is above the average. A decided improvement over the first revue presented by this trio and it made good in this spot. LEW DOCKSTADER - (20 mins.) Working with a lot of new material he seemed rather slow but his new monologue is funny, deals with present conditions and he got plenty of laughs, finishing to strong. KARYL NORMAN "The Creole Fashion Plate" - (25 mins.) - The usual strong draw and big flash hit he has always been for us and although we have played him regularly he proved just a big a novelty. His setting and clothes are wonderful and should create enthusiasm with the women. His new songs are catchy and he is still the finished artist and an ideal headliner. HEALY & CROSS - (17 mins.) These boys have good voice, an excellent assortment of songs which they deliver pleasingly and they held this spot down in excellent shape. THE [BRETTO?] TROUPE - (11 mins.) Furnished us with a very good closing act. All their acrobatics are well done and showy. PATHE NEWS - (6 mins.) The pictures of the Armistice Day Memorial at Arlington attracted a great deal of interest. The pictures are excellent. GENERAL REMARKS - This is a heavy bill but having plenty of comedy to it and a couple of good flashes it furnished very satisfactory entertainment and got a fine start with capacity house Monday afternoon.
