66 NEW YORKS SHOW, WEEK OF MAY 16, 1904. NR 3 THE SEYONS.-- A man and a woman in a very pleasing little comedy sketch. They are new faces and present a most acceptable offering for three shows a day. 23 minutes, full stage. NH 3 JOHN HEALY.-- Black face comedian. Always excellent in this house and good whether there are two people or a thousand in. 18 minutes in one. YHR. 2 POETTINGER'S SWEDISH LADIES' QUINTETTE. A pleasing vocal act. Well known over the circuit. 15 minutes, open full stage and close in one. KR 3 THE TWO FENNELS. A man and a woman in an acrobatic and dancing act. It is a very good one indeed. The woman is a remarkably clever acrobat and the man is a good dancer. 13 minutes, open full stage and close in one if necessary. YRR 2 LOTTA GLADSTONE.-- In her peculiar country girl monologue. She is very strong in this house and made her usual good impression this afternoon. 19 minutes in one. GYH 2 SEARLE & VIOLETTE ALLEN. This is a new act for us. Searle Allen being of the old team of Weston & Allen. He is now working with his wife in an act that he calls "The Sign Painter." It is full of bright and original material and is presented in a novel way that distinguishes it from the ordinary talking act. They made a great hit this afternoon, and, I think, will be a valuable addition to the circuit. 16 minutes in one. GHR 2 A. O. DUNCAN.-- There is no question but that Duncan is the best ventriloquial comedian in this country, if not in the world. He keeps abreast of the time always and invariably puts into his act material that shows his familiarity with the daily happenings of local and national interest. There are, of course, better ventriloquists, mechanically speaking, than he, but I have yet to see one who leaves an audience so thoroughly satisfied. 20 minutes, open full stage, and close in one. GYH 2 TENBROOKE, LAMBERT & TENBROOK. -- Two men and a woman in another crack-a-jack act. The comedian of the team was formerly with Larry Dooley, and much to my surprise he has developed into a remarkably good Dutch comedy performer. The other man is about as good a violinist as was ever in this house and is also a clever pianist. His work on these instruments elicited the heartiest applause from the audience. The woman has a sweet, though not powerful voice, but their concerted singing goes very strong. This is another valuable act for our house and I have secured it again for next season. 24 minutes, open full stage. I was obliged to leave the show at this point on account of an attack of vertigo, which made it almost impossible for me to see the stage. MGH 2-- ANNIE ABBOTT. Mr. Rogers told me, however, that Miss Abbott went fully as strong as we expected. She kept the audience interested and entertained and mystified from the start to the finish. 27 minutes, full stage. MOORE & LITTLEFIELD and MONROE, MACK & LAWRENCE need no criticism because their acts are thoroughly well known. GHR 2 MOORE & LITTLEFIELD; 24 minutes, practically all in one. YYH 2 MONROE, MACK & LAWRENCE; 14 minutes, full stage. NR--3 WATSON & HILL. A couple of neatly dressed young men in an exceedingly clever singing and dancing act; pronounced by Mr. Rogers to be as pretty an act of this kind as we have had in a long time. 13 minutes full stage. HR. BIOGRAPH.--Presenting as the feature film this week "Pussy and Boots", which went remarkably well. [17?] minutes.
