New York Show--Week of May 23, 1904. YHR 2 HOLCOMB, CURTIS & WEBB. Presenting the old Cushman, Holcomb & Curtis act, "A Winter Session." There has been no change in the act itself, but I think the introduction of Miss Webb is rather in the line of improvement. She is younger, more petite, and consequently looks the part better and has a fresher voice. Considering the age of the age [act], they went quite strong this afternoon. 26 minutes, open full stage and close with five minutes in one. MRR 2 MARIAN'S DOGS. -- This is unquestionably the greatest dog act in the world, and the audience were laughing and applauding the entire time it was before them. The dogs play a perfect little play, and there is no sign of the trainer until the act is entirely finished. I don't think there is any question but that it will run three weeks acceptably in both Philadelphia and Boston. 11 minutes, full stage. NH 3 GREEN & WIGGINS.--A couple of young fellows in a double comedy, juggling, and crayon act. They are new faces and while they do nothing alarming, it is a pleasing act throughout. 15 minutes, open full stage; could close in one if necessary. HR 3 BIOGRAPH.--The feature for the week being a series of English mining views, in addition to which there is shown some views of the St. Louis Exposition. 20 minutes in one. KR 3 PERRY & RANDALL.--A little sketch team. Man and woman doing dancing, singing, and recitations. A pleasing little act for an early party of the bill. 15 minutes, full stage, close in one. The show did not run good this afternoon at all, and while the audience was dull and restless on account of the hit, I am inclined to think there is not quite enough life in the bill. I shall rearrange it some, and if this does not right it, then I will add a new turn tomorrow. S. K. HODGDON.
