101 NEW YORK SHOW, WEEK OF JULY 11, 1904. NR 3 BELL & OLIVER.-- A man and a woman in a comedy sketch in which the comedy is not very powerfully evident, but they are both neat dressers and sing fairly well, and the woman does a xylophone solo in the middle of the act which holds it up very well. 17 minutes full stage and close in one if necessary. KR 3 HARRISON BROS.-- They opened with an Irish comedy act in full stage, but it was hardly satisfactory and I changed it to the turn in one that they did on their previous visit. 18 minutes full stage. NR 3 LEONARD & DRAKE.-- A young man and a woman in a comedy sketch introducing a little burlesque acting and concluding with some imitations of animals, and working in a song which went very well indeed and closed the act in fine shape. 15 minutes, full stage and closing in one. AR 3 THE KALIMOS.-- A young man and a woman in a character change dance act. They open with their dance in Scottish costume. The man then does the sword dance, and they do a little soft shoe dancing and close with the Sailor's Hornpipe. A very good three show a day act. 12 minutes, full stage. HR 3 AD HOYT.-- Black face monologue comedian. This young fellow has a line of talk that is built on the general style of Ezra Kendall's material. About everything he says is entirely new and he sang this afternoon three brand new songs. I think that under normal conditions he will be a very acceptable act in a not too important place in the bill. 14 minutes in one. GNH 2 PHILLIPS, HADSELL & CO. In a clever little sketch entitled "Her Busy Day." The act consists of one woman and two men, one of the men impersonating a female physician. Its comedy is bright and pleasing, and it is a thoroughly acceptable production. 21 minutes, full stage. AR 3 JOHN ZIMMER. Juggler. This young fellow has been over the circuit too frequently to require any special comment. He is a neat, clean looking performer and does his work well and always goes strong with the audience. 10 minutes in one. YRR 2 TROCADERO QUARTETTE.-- Four men made up as "coons" doing a character singing specialty largely of "coon" songs. While not a remarkably strong it is still a good one, some of their selections being very heavily applauded. 19 minutes, open full stage and close in one. GHR 2 RICE & PREVOST. Comedy acrobatic act and beyond question the best act of the kind in the country. I think that Rice is funnier in many ways than ever George Carron was. The act went with screams this afternoon, and is bound to do so all along the line. 11 minutes full stage. KR 3 SILLIAMS & SLATER. Two colored men in the regulation "coon" act. Slater was formerly the partner of Murphy, of Murphy & Francis. Williams is not as good a comedian as Murphy was, still it is a good lively act, their dance at the finish going very strong indeed. MRR 2 ROSE STAHL & CO. In a new act entitled "The Chorus Lady," giving a glimpse behind the scenes in a theatre and enlisting the services of one woman besides Miss Stahl and a man. It is really an excellent offering. Miss Stahl's conception of the tough soubrette is very funny indeed. 24 minutes, full stage.
