Our Boys in Blue, 2 shows, 14 min. full stage -- Fancy drilling went strong and the wall scaling at the finish made a big hit. The turn is susceptible of much improvement in various directions, but is certainly just the thing needed for this week. Carlin and Otto, 2 shows, 16 min. in 1 -- German dialect comedians, much cleverer than were the Rogers Brothers in their palmiest days, and it is not fair to them to be billed as "The legitimate successors of the Rogers Brothers in vaudeville." Scored the laughing and applause hit of the show. Toledo and Price, 3 shows, 10 min. full stage -- Man and woman in an acrobatic contortion act, the best of its class ever seen in this house. The man is a wonder. Act will get a better place in the bill tomorrow and is strong enough to close our show at night for the balance of the week. McKinnon and Reed, 3 shows, 14 min. in 1 -- Blackface singing, dancing and talking comedians. Quite commonplace, but good enough for the 3-show section. The Golubocks, 3 shows, 8 min. full stage -- Russian national singers and dancers. Satisfactory act of its class, and would go all right in an early spot in the 2-show section, if required. Biograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1 -- By request, had a lot of pictures of interest to G. A. R. men, including President Roosevelt, the late President McKinley, etc., which were all enthusiastically applauded. Comment - The show as a whole was better balanced than that of last week, and with a little rearrangement will make a capital holiday week bill. It is "shy" on comedy, but the acts that appeal especially to the audiences we are likely to have this week will more than compensate for the lack in that respect.
