139 CRITICISM OF SHOW. KEITH'S NEW THEATRE,PHILA. SEPT. 12TH. FIALKOWSKI-NH-3-Man, animal imitator. Well known on the circuit. A very acceptable act for the three-show section. 16 mins. in one. LAMBERT & PIERCE-NR-3-Two men, blackface singing and dancing act interrupted by a little talk. The talk is flat and uninteresting--didn't get a laugh. Can't say that the act is even good for an opening act in the three-show section. We never want them again. 13 mins. in one. WOOD & RAY-GRR-3-Man and woman, in a nameless, nonsensical comedy sketch. The bulk of the act is the same work they have always done, shifted about some, and with a few new jokes here and there. A new travesty close in one that is very good. 17 mins. C.D.F. Close in one. ALLAN SHAW-HR-Coin and card manipulator. No better than many others we have had. All right for an unimportant place in the three show section. 12 mins. Black art drop in one. HOWARD BROS.-GYM-2-Banjo jugglers. The men play tunes while juggling six of them at one time. A bully good act. Strong enough for most any spot on the bill. 17 mins.-Pal. in 2- close in one. A. O. DUNCAN-GHR-2-Ventriloquist. Well known everywhere. Always has new local jokes, and always seems to go well. Good ventriloquial act. 16 mins.-Pal. in 2-Close in one. CHAS. HERA-GHR-2-Juggler. First appearance in this house. Has some new and apparently difficult tricks in the juggling line. A very good act for the money. Nearly every trick received applause. Works in frock coat. Has one assistant. 12 mins. C.D.F. in 3. KATHERINE BLOODGOOD-GNH-2-Vocalist. Very well known on the circuit. Did not go very well this afternoon for some unknown reason. Usually manages to get by here. 8 mins. in one. HENRY LEE-SRR-2-Impersonator. third visit here. Always proves a good drawing card. Our patrons seem to like his work immensely. Presented: Mark Twain, Pop Leo, Czar of Russia, Mikado of Japan, Roosevelt, Parker and Grant. 22 mins.-Spec. Set in 4. GEO. H. WOOD-GHR-2-Monologue and stories. Always goes very well here, and generally gives us new stuff at every visit. Very good act. 17 mins. in one. CHAS. BRADSHAW & CO.-YNH-2-Sketch, entitled "Fix in a Fix." Four people, two men and two women. Well known on the circuit. A very good comedy sketch. The two women are new. 28 mins. C.D.F. in 3. FISHEER & CARROLL-YYN-2-Two men, eccentric talking act. Play the circuit frequently. One works straight and one grotesque. Good talking act that always gets the laughs. 17 mins. in one. GASCH SISTERS-GYH-2-Head and hand balancers. The only girls doing this work that have ever appeared in this house. An excellent act for the money. Every trick received applause. 6 mins. Gar. in 4. BIOGRAPH-A Couple of Lightweights. Two of McCutcheon's children boxing on the sand at Coney Island. Fair. The Moonshiners. A long 18 minute real life picture, with a sad ending. Good film. JOLLY VELIA-GNR-2-Parisian pantomime and dancing act. Not a bad little sight act for an unimportant place. 12 mins. Gar. in 3. H. A. DANIELS.
