199 TEMPLE THEATRE, DETROIT, MICHIGAN. Week of Oct. 24, 1904 LATELL BROTHERS : Hand balancers and acrobats. This is one of the best acts of the kind we have ever played. 7 mins. F. S. ADELINA ROATTINO & CLARA STEVENS: In "[?scenes?] in [Wisteria?]". These young women carry their own setting and it is a very pretty one, brilliantly lighted. Miss Roattino sings a number of songs, which are illustrated. Her voice is not above the ordinary. Miss Stevens is quite a clever dancer. While the act is rather pretty to look at still it is not a remarkably good one on the whole. 20 mins. F. S. BRANDOW & WILEY: Colored man and woman in songs and grotesque dancing. This is one of the poorest colored acts we have played. 11 mins, one. JULES & ELLA GARRISON: Presenting a new travesty set. Carry their own setting and drop and it must be said that the setting is very fine, but the act itself is very tiresome and contains but few laughs. It is inferior as a laugh getter to the Garrison's former act. It ran 27 mins but should be cut to about 20 mins. F. S. DIGBY BELL: Mr. Bell appeared in the uniform of an Information Bureau official. We do not think he appeared to a good advantage as he did in his dinner suit. He certainly did not go as well. He appeared [??] nervous and on the whole was unsatisfactory. [?21] mins. one. RYDER & BUCKLEY: This musical comedian team present the same act as their last appearance. Went very strong with our audiences. This [?] an excellent act of the kind and always makes good here 16 mins F S. in one. [IGMARELLS?]: This is an automatic person controlled by Mr. F. J. Ireland. [?] is the figure of a man of average height, supposed to be worked motors and other machinery concealed within it. it, walks, rides a cycle, writes it [names?]. While it creates considerable comment among [?our] patrons, it does not appear to me to be requisite to the vaudeville age. 12 mins. F. S. [?D HASSAN BEN ALY'S?] troupe of Arabs: This troupe of ground tumblers the greatest in vaudeville. They create tremendous enthusiasm with audiences [??nde]. 7 mins. F. S.
