CRITICISM OF SHOW. KEITH'S NEW THEATRE, PHILA., PA. 10 12 03. [Tanner?] & Gilbert-15 mins.-Farm drop in 4-Set Cottage-Man and woman, in a rural comedy sketch, introducing singing which is fair to good, and some cross-fire jokes that do not amount to much. Singing went very well. Made a good act for an opener. The DeMuths-10 mins.-[Pal in 2?]-Man and woman, second time here. A good dancing act, on the style of the DeForeests. After seeing Wallno & Marinetti one realizes that there is only one dancing act of the first magnitude. The DeMuths are good, about on a par with the DeForeests and others. Received a "small" hand. Neither one does anything out of the ordinary. John Healy-10 mins. in one-If there were only three people in the house John Healy could get a hand. He can make good and get the laughs anywhere at any time, regardless of his position on the bill. He received a good hand on his entrance. Always goes well here. Kelter-10 mins.-Gar. in 3-Aman on the bounding wire; a good "little" sight act. Three Keley Sisters-15 mins. in one-"Little" singing and dancing act, with changes of costumes. One girl attempts comedy throughout the act, which is very, very poor. They do a little amateur acrobatic work. Close with a dance, suing s revolving shutter on the spotlight. Act appears amateurish. No hand. A. D. Robbins-12 mins.-Road Landscape in 4-A trick bicyclist, working straight; does not seem to be perfect--and failed many times; has some good tricks, and on the whole made good; received a good hand. He could stand a lot of practice. Chas. Leonard Fletcher-12 mins. in one-Imitations and impersonations of noted men; makes up in view of the audience and keeps up a running talk during the process; seemed to please the more conservative element in the audience, and on the whole was very entertaining; received a good hand for each impersonation. His Martin Berry from Jas. Herne's "Shore Acres" was a real hit. Molasso Troupe-10 mins.-Pal. in 4-Two men and two women, dancing and singing act; a very pretty and lively act. But why on the same bill with the DeMuths, who do the very same work--but not so well? One of the men of the quartette is particularly clever and his work received the applause it deserved. Whole act is very, very good. Bertha Stanhope-8 mins. in one-Soprano. This lady undoubtedly has a very good voice, but she was evidently placed wrong. She could not follow the hurrah music of the preceding act. It was the contrast bteween a circus band on parade and a wedding march. The lady was very nervous--and showed it. Received a good hand. Snyder & Buckley-18 mins.-C.D.F. in 3-Two men, in a lively, quick working musical act, without a dull spot; made a decidedly favorable impression and proved to be one of the applause hits of the show. Geo. Primrose & Foley Twins-12 mins. Special Set-In a singing and dancing act; open with a song by the three and then a dance. Primrose then sings and dances to give the boys a chance to change. They finish with a double clog by the boys. It would be idle to criticise Primrose's dancing. In his particular style he is without a rival. He has coached the boys to his state of perfection. Primrose has no voice
