36 Charlotte Guyer George, 2 shows, 12 min. in 1--This vocalist, who has hitherto been a favorite with out audience, owing to a combination of ability as a vocalist and pleasing selections, fell badly to-day. She went off key and her songs did not seem to hit the fancy of the audience. She is suffering from a cold, which has affected her hearing, and this she claims as the cause of her poor work. Kimball and Donovan, 3 shows, 12 min. in 1--Excellent musical act, which proved to be even better in the place than would Miss George. They are skilful players and all their selections were applauded. Mlle. Nirvana, 2 shows, 12 min. full stage--Went just as well as last week, each one of her posings being liberally applauded. Haines and Vidocq, 2 show, 18 min. in 2--Blackface conversational comedians. They had nothing new in their dialogue and did not go so strong as usual with this afternoon's audience. That does not count, however, as it was one of those dull assemblages that would not wake up. Amoros-Werner Troupe, 2 shows, 33 min. full stage--Comedy pantomimists, with a little ball juggling. Went with laughs all through, but did not finish so strong as in New York. It is a novelty, without doubt. Biograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1--Interesting and humorous collection of motion pictures, the majority of which were applauded as much as any of the acts. Holdin's Mannikins, 2 shows, 12 min. full stage--Put them on at 4.35 in order to give the school children an opportunity to see them. They apparently went as strong as last week, holding the audience in great shape. He introduced several new features in the show. Comment:- The bill is excellent all through, being especially well balanced, and with the exception of the failure of Miss George to make good, there could be no legitimate kick coming. For the balanced of the week will substitute Kimball and Donovan, banjoists in Miss George's place on the bill, which will be for the better, as the change from Cressy and Dayne to Nirvana causes considerable noise, which cannot be abated.
