56 STEREOPTICON.--Usual collection of views. 5 min. in one. ER 3 --3 KELCEY SISTERS.--These are three clean looking girls in a singing and dancing act. There isn't great amount of merit [???] it is an acceptable opening act. 8 minutes in one. GRR 3.--HENDERSON & [???].--A man and a woman in an acrobatic comedy and singing act, the man being a comedian and doing [???] funny work on a tight rope. The woman is absolutely no good on earth, and on her account principally the act will never amount to anything beyond an opener. 12 minutes, full stage. NR. 3.--WILSON & DAVIS.-- Two men in a talking act, one of them made up straight; the other eccentric. They do not start off very brilliantly, but before they got through they got the audience in great shape. Their talk is all right and fairly fresh and they have some exceptionally clever parodies, and they are written up to the minute--one of their verses about [???] making a great hit. It is an all mighty good 3-show-a-day turn. 17 minutes in one. NH 3.--OZAV & DELMO.--Two men in a comedy juggling act. The same act that they have done over the circuit before and which is always acceptable. 13 min., full stage; can close in one if necessary. NR.--3.--JENNINGS & RENFREW.-- A couple of men in a black faced singing and dancing act, and a very good average turn. They look neat, dance well, and sing acceptably. 19 minutes in one. AR 3--AL LAWRENCE.-- This performer is too well known on the circuit to need any comment. He has brightened and freshened his act to quite a little extent, and it went as well this afternoon, if not better, than I have seen him go in the house. He is all right and can always be relied upon to make good in any portion of the bill. 15 minutes in one. GHR.--2.--Mr. & Mrs. Jimmie Barry.--These people have a new sketch this trip, and, as the motif is some what peculiar, I don't want to judge of it critically until the evening performance. It struck me as being very funny, and the audience evidently appreciated it also, though with this afternoon crowd it did not seem to go as strong as their old act. In this sketch they open in one, then go to full stage, and close in one. I have an idea that the night audience will like the act very much. If they do not, I shall change it to one of the old turns. 22 minutes; open and close in one. YRR.--TAFFARY'S DOGS.-- This is a really fine act. He has but very few dogs, but they are finely trained. They do nothing that has not already been done by any other American and European dog act, but what they do is done cleverly, and the feature of their act is the dressing, and it is safe to say that no troupe of dogs ever wore so really fine wardrobe as these. The audience was quick to appreciate this fact and the act made quite a hit. 16 minutes, full stage. GYH 2.--BERTIE FOWLER.--She went very well, as she always does in this house, but has comparatively nothing new in the act. I think this week will let her out until she gets some fresher material. 18 minutes in one. YRR 2--JULES & ELLA GARRISON.-- In a travesty sketch after the style of Ross & Fenton, and, while they are not as artistic as that team, they are just as successful so far as laughs are concerned. They went very strong this afternoon. 17 minutes, full stage. GRR 2--BROWN & NEVARRO.--A colored man and woman, and about the only negro whom I have seen trying to do character impersonation. He does them though, and does them right, and, aided by Miss Nevarro who is a clever dancer and who also has a good idea of character work herself, the act is all right and strong enough in any place on the bill. 13 minutes in one.
