56 NEW YORK SHOW, Week of November 2nd--2. MRR2-HARROWS LANCASTER CO.--Consisting of Mr. Barrows, Mr. Lancaster, one other man and a woman in a sketch entitled "A Chip of the Old Block" [???] acceptable offering indeed. I hardly think that it is as strong in comedy as some of his other turns, but Barrows, as everybody knows, is a mighty fine actor and can't do anything bad. He has a character bit in this in which he impersonates a wealthy, well-dressed Irish-man, and it is a fine piece of work. While perhaps not as funny as some of his other offerings it is welcome for a change and is presented finely by the entire company. 24 min., full stage. YRR 2.--JOHN KERNELL.--Same John that he always is, and who always goes very strong in this house. Stronger probably than he does in any other house on the circuit. 22 minutes in one. YRR 2 --THE FOUR WELSONS.--Ring performers. This is a showy act and a clever one, although I don't think they are anywhere as good as the Four Nightons, but their salary is not near as high, and, so far as the general public is concerned, they are probably making good as well as the others. There are four men, or rather three men and a boy. Their work is largely on the posing and muscular order, but they make some very pretty pictures, and one of their tricks consists of the youngest and smallest of the quartette supporting all the others while he himself is suspended by his arms. This is especially effective. 10 minutes, full stage. HR.--BIOGRAPH.-- They have given us a very good collection of views this week and they were highly appreciated by the audiences. S. K. HODGDON.
