Report on Show, Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I., Week of November 9th (Charles Lovenberg) The bill this week is not very good. It may play better on rearrangement, but it seems to be very dull and lacking in good comedy. Rooney Sisters. Singing and dancing act in which the singing is very bad and the dancing only fair. The only thing that saves the girls is their neat appearance and nice dressing. On the whole I call it a poor act. 10 min. open in 3, close in one. 3 shows. Max Ritter. Sings Coon songs, tells stories, and dances. There is a little confliction in this act and the Rooney Sisters but I put them both together in order to get them out of the way early in the bill as Ritter is just a little shade better than the Rooney Sisters. 8 min. in one, 3 shows. Bates Musical Trio. This act is well known on the circuit and requires no comment except to say it went fairly well. 21 min. open full stage, close in one. 3 shows. Bean & Hamilton. Barrel jumpers. Good act of its kind. 10 min. full stage, 3 shows. Howard & Harris. Comedy sketch in which the man makes up as Happy Hooligan and the woman does some very clever contortion work, considering it is only an incident of the sketch. I call this a good 3 a day act. 32 min. open in 2, close in one. Mr. & Mrs. Jimmy Barry. In their new act, "A Hubbard Squash." This act was an awful disappointment in fact I consider it very bad so much so, that I am having him change to his old act of "A Skin Game," which he will play tonight. 2 shows. Min. open in 2, close in 1. Rosie Rendel. While this girl is quite clever like all acts of the kind they do not go here. She was a disappointment. 12 min. full stage, 2 shows. The Three Mitchells. This act is not as good as last year as they made a change in the little girl who last year contributed about one-half the comedy of the act. They only went fairly until it came to the jumping business at the end of the act, although it is a good three a day act. 22 min. in one. Robertus & Wilfredo. Bounding ball act introducing a very clever trained Dog which although he only does a very few stunts his work is introduced in a very novel manner and went first rate. The act as a whole fell rather flat although I consider them very clever. 10 min. full stage, 2 shows. Nora Bayes. This girl made practically the hit of the show, much to my surprise. She is very clever as a singing comedienne and has a very magnetic personality and the audience were quick to recognize her merit. 13 min in one. 2 shows. Barrows, Lancaster Company. In "A Chip Of The Old Block". Fully up to their old standards, and they are always welcomed visitors to this house. 20 min. in 3, 2 shows. Fisher & Carroll. In their old act which despite a very hard place on the bill made good, strongly. 19 min. in 1, 2 shows. Three Marvellous Merrills. Bicyclists. Same act they have always done and which wears better than one would think. 15 min. full stage, 2 shows. Biograph. Pictures of "Fairyland" which are certainly the most
