113 TEMPLE THEATER, DETROIT, MICHIGAN. Week of Dec. 14, 1903. PAUL STEVENS: One legged man who walks a tight wire and balances himself on unsupported poles. It is a fairly good act to open the show. F. S. 8 mins. JOHNSON & WELLS: Colored man and woman who do a singing and dancing turn that appeared to please the audience here. a show. The songs are not up to date. All in one 12 mins. MCWATTERS AND TYSON CO: One man and three young women. The act is an potpourri of singing, dancing, comedy, and legerdemain. They people work hard but somehow they do not seem to catch on here. F. S. 21 mins. AL LAWRENCE: Imitations and monologue and singing. Went very well here and appears to be improving. Has a great deal of new stuff which is clean and bright. All in one. 17 mins. JOHN & EMMA RAY: Headliners of the bill and made good every minute they held the stage. It is regarded here as the leading comedy act of vaudeville. F. S. 23 mins, Close in one 6 mins. POETTINGER'S SWEDISH LADIES QUINTETTE: Five rather attractive young women who possess good voices and appear in Swedish costume, songs and dances. They were well received here and are worth a return engagement. F. S. 17 mins. LAVEEN & CROSS : Phenominal acdrobats and strong men who do not resort to comedy to make good. They will do for any bill. F. S. [1?] mins. RAYMOND & CAVERLY: Dutch comedy talking act of average merit. All, in one. 14 mins. HELENE GERARD: French equestrienne, with two handsome Arabian horses which are marvels of intelligence. Miss Gerard is queenly looking [and ?] herself and horses make a very attractive stage picture. The act, which closed the show was received very well here. Good headline act for any bill. F. S. 13 mins.
