120 TEMPLE THEATER, DETROIT, MICHIGAN. WEEK OF Dec. 21st, 1903. KILTIES BAND & CLAN JOHNSTONE TROUPE: Scottish Canandian band of forty pieces and a half dozen Scottish dancers, buglers and pipers together with a choir of male voices and a tenor soloist. This is perhaps, one of the greatest headline attractions in America. Its drawing powers particularly in this city so close to the Canadian border, are greater than any other act in the profession. The band is an excellent one and creates great enthusiasm. The Clan Johnstone Troupe adds materially to the excellency of the whole. One hour. F. S. OWLEY & RANDALL: Man and woman in a comedy juggling act. The act is not particularly strong and was not received with any degree of enthusiasm. 8 mins F. S. 3 mins. in one. MR. & MRS HARRY THORNE & CO: Two men and two women in the old act "An Uptown "Flat". The act always has been too long and after is is seen a anumber of times it appears very, very long. Seen once or twice it does very well, bit it is too old for this house, 23 mins. F. S. MARION LITTLEFIELD: A young rather handsome woman with a good contralto voice. Her selections aremore adapted to the concert stage than to vaudeville. She does not go well with a mixed audience. 7 mins. in one. JAMES J. MORTON: Monologue and general foolishness. He is one of the best single cards in vaudeville. The audience here apparently could not get enough of him. He convulses the boxes as well as the gallery. Most of his stuff is impromptu and it is clean and delicious. 12 mins. One. BURKE LARUE & INKEY BOYS.: Man woman and two picks. Act consists of singing and dancing. The two colored boys are the hit of the act. Burke and LaRue are simply feeders for the two boys. 19mins. F. S. X 4 mins. in one. COUTURE & GILLETTE: Two men in a comedy acrobatic act. The acrobatic work is very good indeed. They were in a vad place on the bill but managed to hold the audience until the fall of the curtain. 8 mins. F. S.
