135 Frank Keenan, 2 shows, 26 min. full stage--Presenting for the second time here a one-act sketch, "The Actor and the Count", which is one of the best bits of entertainment of the kind in vaudeville. It was capitally played by both principals, Mr. Keenan and his daughter (Miss Fontaine), who is almost as good as Georgia Welles, who she succeeded. George Wilson, 2 shows, 18 min. in 1--Blackface monologue comedian and singer. Had a lot of new material, which went strong here. The Keatons, 2 shows, 23 min. open full stage, close in 1--Eccentric acrobatic comedy act, in which the boy, "Buster", is the big hit. Finished big, with the boy's imitations. Avolos, 2 shows, 8 min. full atage--Acrobatic act on perpendicular bars, the sensational feature being the throwing of double somersaults. Went well and will do better on rearrangement of the programme. Biograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1--Best set of motion pictures we have had recently; a great improvement on last week. A hit was scored by a train robbery picture, which was applauded as much as any act of the show. Miett's Dogs, 3 shows, 14 min. in 2--First time here for this lot of canines. Judged from a 3-per-day standpoint, it is an excellent act, although the animals do nothing out of the ordinary. Here we cut out the high dive from a ladder, similar to that done by Herbert. The act is all right for the circuit. Crowley and Foley, 3 shows, 15 min. in 1--Comedians, singers and dancers, put in to fill the place made vacant by Chris Lane. It is a good act of its class, and should be given the circuit, as promised some time ago, if at the figure I am paying them. Comment:- The bill is good, the balance showing several acts up to the best advantage. It went exceptionally well for Monday especially with the gallery patrons, the house being topheavy.
