137 NEW YORK SHOW, WEEK OF JANUARY 4, 1904.--2. FLEURY TRIO.-- One man and two women in one of the fancy dancing acts modelled after the style of the 4 Colinis. It is rather a pretty act, quite showy in a way, though I think the man is rather stout for the line of work he attempts. However, it is somewhat of a novelty and will easily make good between 2 and 3 o'clock in the afternoon in any bill. 13 minutes, full stage. HRR 2 MARSHALL P. WILDER.--Wilder always goes strong in this house, and this afternoon was no exception. 20 minutes in 1. YRR 2--BEATRICE INGRAM, supported by Edward Nicander, in a pretty little sketch entitled "Strictly Business," in which Miss Ingram plays two characters, that is, a young lady (sort of ingenue) and an English slavey. Mr. Nicander presents his character in the shape of a neat German. The sketch is rather quiet, but is artistically presented and went very well indeed. I consider it a very welcome addition to our list of sketches. 21 minutes, full stage. GHR -2--LEW HAWKINS.-- Black face comedian. Hawkins has a lot of new material mixed in with a good liberal allowance of old stuff, but he has a strong personality and made about as strong a hit in this house as any one we have ever played. 18 min. in one. GYH 2--THE MACKWOODS.-- Two men in a pantomimic and acrobatic sketch, one of the men being made up as a woman. I did not see this act myself as I was busy on the long distance 'phone, but Mr. Rogers, who was in charge, said that it is quite a good act. It represents the interior of an artist's studio, and during the progress of the act they do some pretty clever acrobatic work. It is thoroughly all right in every way. 9 min., full stage. HR 3--BIOGRAPH/-- They gave us a very good selection of views this week. 20 minutes in one. S. K. HODGDON.
