143 Chase's theatre Washington, D. C. Week Jan 11th. Gertrude Hoffman and Etta Pierce. A splendidly dressed act and the girls do some excellent dancing. Full stage closing in one. Prelle's Talking dogs. This is one of the best animal acts we play and has improved since its appearance two years ago. Full stage. Ada Arnoldson. In Swedish costume she sings some good selections with a voice of considerable range and sweetness. All in one. Charles Dickson & Co. He presented "A Pressing Matter", and while it appeared to please fairly well, we do not regard the sketch as unusually brilliant and think the act overpaid. Full stage. Intermission. Sherman and De Forest. "The Battle of Sandago" was received with screams of laughter and a bill is all the better which possesses a number of this style and character. Full stage. Ford and Wilson. In black face they do singing and grotesque dancing which is very good and the only criticism I would make is as to their talk, of which there is but little and that not very good. All in one. La Belle Selica's Lions. This act is in vaudeville for but one week when it goes to Paris. The arena setting is a beautiful one, the lions, five in number, exceedingly handsome specimens and Miss Selica, fair of face, figure and costume with her graceful dances, presents an act of unusual interest. Full stage. The Vitagraph Views Presenting "The Story of William Tell" are good. H. Winnifred De Witt.
