165 TEMPLE THEATER, DETROIT. Fred. Gillet Trio-Two men and a woman in a comedy-equilibrist act. Feed Gillet does some good stunts at hand balancing, but the other two appear to be like excess baggage.9 min. F. S. JOHN DONOHUE AND MATTIE NICHOLS- Their act is acceptable to our audiences, and while it is not a top-line act it goes much better than some like acts that preceeded it here. 1o min. F. S. 3 in one. COLE AND JOHNSON- Second week at this house. Their act is an exceptionally good one but look out for their cascaret gag. It may go in some places but it is not wanted here. 17 min. F. S. with drape. KINETOGRAPH-"The Voyage of the Artic or Capt. Kettle's Adventure at the North pole." Its a goldbrick. We put it on for one performance and then consigned it to the ash heap. CLAYTON WHITE AND MARIE STUART COMPANY-One man and two women, all clever in a clever comedy entitled "Paris." There is one spot in this comedy that savors of burlesque house business. It is the talk between the saloon keeping politician and Miss Stuart. It just passed muster here. 1o min. F. S. FRED S. STUBER- He played the banjo very cleverly and appeared to have caught on. 11 min. in one. PAPINTA- Better than Lois Fuller. Her fire and snow dance as well as her flower dance was very pleasing, particularly to the lady portion of the audience. She gives all that has been advertised and is a very good card. 14 min. F. S. GEORGE WILSON- Minstrel-comedian. He made a hit here going better than ever before. His monologue should be purged of a couple of its gags. One is about salesladies getting $4. a week and paying $5. a week for board. The other about a woman slipping on the banisters and coming down stairs. 21 in one. COLEMAN'S CATS AND DOGS- This is a very good animal act and was well received. 21 min. F. S.
