170 CRITICISM OF SHOW. KEITH'S NEW THEATRE,PHILA. JAN. 25TH Sanderson-12 mins.-C.D.F. in 2- Comedy pianist, working straight;very satisfactory for an opener;could have a better place. The Gregsons-12 mins. in one-Neatly dressed boy and girl, in singing and dancing specialties. Singing is not above the average,as neither one has a voice;dancing is dainty;good little three-a-day act. Aerial Smiths-11 mins.-Gar. in 4-Man and woman, double trapeze act. They work with snap and ginger, and present a very good little aerial act--neat and pleasing. Very good three-a-day act. Chalk Saunders-12 mins. in one-Crayon artist, who keeps the audience in good humor. His act received many deserved laughs and went well. Good three-a-day act. Purcell & Brooks-15 mins.-Spec. in 3-Man and woman, in a comedy sketch "A Bell Boy's Trouble." Man carries the comedy, while the woman is only a fair feeder. Ballerini's Dogs-10 mins.-Gar. in 3-Not as strong as anticipated. Dogs are not neat and clean. Some of the tricks are good ones, and the close in one is valuable. We have some stronger acts ahead on the bill. Only fair. Dorothy Kenton-10 mins. in one-Banjoist. Good act. Neat, refined and entertaining. The Girl with the Auburn Hair-14 mins.-Special Set-Second week;most impressive act in vaudeville. Mayme Remington & Picks-14 mins. in one-Four picks. Three of them work well;the fourth looks for money to be thrown on the stage, and detracts from the act. A good, lively act, full of ginger. Went strong. Good. Mr. & Mrs. Sidney Drew-23 mins.-C.D.F. in 3-In a sketch "The Yellow Dragon." A very good sketch, the audience thought and received appreciative applause. Very good act. Le Basque Quartette-13 mins. in one-Three men and a woman;in the class with the Grand Opera Trio;an excellent singing act. Three Keatons-26 mins.-Landsc. in 4-close in one-Joe,Buster & Myra. Act has improved 100% since last here. Went very strong. Mlle. Ballerini-10 mins. Gar. in 4-Balancing on the trapeze;dainty, neat and an artist;a good strong act for the late bill;very good. Crane Bros.-20 mins. in one-"The Mudtown Minstrels";seemed to have improved some--that is,they're crazier than ever. Audience seemed to enjoy their nonsence immensely. Good act. St. Onge Bros.-13 mins.-Landsc. in 4-Two men, comedy bike act,one man working straight, one as tramp. Good bike act. Biograph-20 mins. in one-Fair selection of views. Comment:-A good show throughout. The only weak spot was the dogs--and they will improve by to-morrow. Show went with snap and ginger, and seemed to thoroughly please. H. A. DANIELS
