174 CHASE'S THEATRE. WASHINGTON, D. C. Week Feb. 1st. RAE AND BENEDETTO. A contortionist and clown doing tricks on aerial ladder, which makes a very fair opening act. Full stage. GEORGE SCHINDLER. He is a very creditable performer on the harmonica and on account of its novelty is leaving a good impression. All in one. Kelly and Kent. They have a little sketch which furnishes some amusement, but their dancing at the finish really carries the act through. Full stage closing in one. CHARLES T. ALDRICH. A most remarkable and versatile artist whose act comprises so much comedy and so many novelties with something new every season, that I cannot speak too highly of him. His act consists of comedy juggling, illusions and burlesque on Ching Ling Foo, all of which are received with most hearty applause. Full stage. INTERMISSION. MR. AND MRS. GARDNER CRANE. They are playing "Am I Your Wife", and those who like dramatic sketches probably enjoy this as it is above the average. Full stage. FRANK BUSH. He styles himself "The World's Greatest Story Teller", and there is no doubt but that he is entitled to that billing, as his stories were principally new, well told, changed at every performance and he creates as much amusement as any act we have ever played. All in one. UNION GATLING GUARDS. Their use of the gatling gun is truly remarkable and the act is as thrilling as any one would care to see. Full stage. THE AMERICAN VITAGRAPH presents pictures of "The Poachers", and it is a good film. H. Winnifred De Witt.
