181 2 KEITH'S NEW THEATRE,PHILA. BARNEY FAGAN & HENRIETTA BYRON-18 mins.-C.D.F. in 3-In a sketch "Idle Fancy." A few jokes, some cross-fire talk, some sand dancing by the man;a change of costume and song and dance by the woman; a change of costume and song and dance by the man; then three quick changes by the woman, the time being filled in by Fagan's dancing and singing. The lights worked badly, and there were several hitches in the act, which tended to detract from it. It received some applause at the close and may go better to-night. BILLY GOULD-15 mins. in one-Still leans on the procenium arch and sings the "Absent Minded" song;had some new stories, some of which were good; has a man assist him, first from the audience, then on the stage--both sing. Very good act. FITZGIBBONS-McCOY TRIO-20mins.-C.D.F. in 3-Two men and a woman. The only act in the show that possessed any action or life. They were ib at 4.50, and succeeded in awakening the audience from a long slumber. The hit of the bill. A real vaudeville act. MACKWOODS-7mins.-Special 3-Two men,one dressed as woman,in a European pantomime acrobatic act. Acrobatic work is good, but comedy is the same as all foreign comedy. Good closing act. BIOGRAPH-20 mins. in one-Good selection. COMMENT:-I have never seen a show run worse. The orchestra was off on cues. The acts on the early bill were very bad. The five big acts that are individually very good, combine to make a quiet, sleepy, dragging show. There is enough money in the show. The names of the big acts are good, and individually the big acts are all right, but they seem to weld into the poorest show we've had in weeks. Everything went wrong from the start. The whole show will be shifted. M. A. DANIELS.
