199 New York Show-- Week of February 22, 1904. YRR 2 MR & MRS GARDNER.-- In a sketch entitled "Am I Your Wife?" This act has been reviewed too frequently to require any comment. It is sufficient to say that it is, in my opinion, the best dramatic sketch in vaudeville. 28 minutes, full stage. YRR 2 PRESS ELDRIDGE.-- Press was suffering from a very heavy cold this afternoon, and to any one familiar with his work it was apparent that he seemed to be obliged to force himself considerably. Notwithstanding that, he made a great hit with the audience and was as well received perhaps as he ever was in the house. 19 minutes in one. GNH 2 THE TWO AVOLOS.-- In an act on the perpendicular bars. This is another turn which has a strong element of novelty in it, and which the audience thoroughly appreciated. Some of the work of the younger performer is really great and the whole turn is a good one. 7 minutes, full stage. HR 3 BIOGRAPH.-- On account of the holiday we only ran five views this afternoon, but they were all very good ones and the film that they have given us this week is thoroughly all right. GNH 2 HUMBERTY.--European juggler. This is the first appearance on our circuit of this performer although he has played the Coast and Middle West. He is quite a clever artist in his way and gets his effects by original methods. Aside from his juggling he is a very good equilibrist and does an act of balancing and juggling combined that can be considered the feature. he closes his act by borrowing a lot of instruments from the orchestra which he balances in a very peculiar sort of way. The act is a novelty all the way through and a good one. 16 minutes, full stage. S. K. HODGDON.
