GRAND OPERA HOUSE WEEK COMMENCING DEC. 12th, 04. PITTSBURG, PA. DELASKA-Magician. In two-close in one. 15 minutes. This act hardly gets through in the three a day section. EARL & WILSON-Comedy musical act. 14 minutes in three. Interior. Close in one about 3 minutes. 3 shows. Cannot say much in favor of this act. WATERMELON TRUST-25 minutes, full stage. Five colored people-3 men and 2 women. Singing, dancing and talking. This act goes very big for about 15 minutes but hurt the act the balance of the time they were on the stage. If they were doing about 15 or 16 minutes I think it would be a great act. It is very rough and we had to tone it down considerable If they were allowed to do as they please the act would positively be filthy. MARION GARSON-Operatic selections. 10 minutes in one. This is a very young girl not over 18 years of age and is a far better singer than acts that we pay twice the figure. She has been going very big with our patrons here and I feel sure she would do fully as well on a return. MADDOX & PROUTY-Talking act in one. About 16 minutes. This is a very good act, being somewhat different from the usual run of talking acts. IMPERIAL JAPS-Full stage, special set. 12 minutes. While this act does not seem to draw us any money, it is pleasing our patrons. I consider it a very good act. BESNAH & MILLER-Singing and dancing in one, 14 minutes. We consider this a very good act. Miss Miller's coon song in German goes very big and the dancing of both Besnah and Miller is about as good as any we have seen. O'Brien & Havel-In "Ticks & Tacks". Interior-24 minutes. This act is going very well with us but I feel that it is one of the acts that gets entirely too much money. I would imagine $200 - very good price for the act. STUART BARNES-Monologue in one. 18 minutes. Mr. Barnes is doing very well with us and is one of the best monologue acts we play. BOSTON BROS. Acrobatic act. 8 minutes, full stage-wood. They are not going very well with us. We consider this only a fair act. AL. BURTON-Monologue-15 minutes in one. 3 shows. This act goes very well in the three show section. GOETZ & NELSON-Revolving Globe Experts-14 minutes, full stage. This would be a very fair act for the three a day section if the alleged comedy was eliminated. John P. Harris.
