198 Criticism Keith's New York June 19,1905. Conway & Held Two men, Irish comedy, entitled "Casey's Visits" Singing and talking. Singing is alright, talking don't amount too much. Good opening act. Full stage can close in one, seventeen minutes, three shows. La Petite Mignon Little girl with burlesque imitations. Looks about 12 years of age, her mother claims she is sixteen. Has the mannerisms of an other person. Gives imitations of Elfie Fay, Marie Dressler, Anna Held, Fred. Stone and Fay Templeton. Each impersonation strongly applauded. Will give her a better position on the bill to-night. Two shows, Ten minutes. Ward Baker Young man, violinist, working straight. Pretty fair violinist, good selections and each greatly appreciated. Thirteen minutes in one, three shows. J. Warrn Keane Card Manipulator. Makes a good appearance and does some good work. At the price of an excellent three a day act. Seventeen minutes in two, can work in one. Aurie Dagwell Vocalist and she just about passes in this place. She is greatly overpaid, received some applause on the "Dixey" song. Eleven minutes in one, two shows. Gallando Clay Modeler. Hasn't played this man for several years and he seems sort of a novelty. His work was fairly well appreciated. Good three show act. Thirteen minutes in two. J. Francis Dooley, Dorothy Bremmer and Mabel Marsh Singing and dancing number. The girls make a very attractive appearance. Rather refined, with elegant costumes. Dooley does very little dancing and as a singer he just gets out. One of the girls is a very clever toe dancer and is the strongest part of the act. The act is alright at the price and will make good if on about or before 8:30 Nineteen minutes, two shows. Geo. Alexander Tramp monologuist. If you compare this man to Paul Barnes, he should do three shows at Seventy-five dollars. His work is not strong enough to secure one-twenty five. At the afternoon performance he was failure, this evening he went a trifle better. He secured more laughs in spots, his parodies are long drawn out and lose interest. Thirteen minutes in one, two shows. The Zancigs Mind reading and the best of.[covered by sheet above it. ) The house being rather small this afternoon, they worked to a disadvantage. Twelve minutes, in one. Two shows. Four Lukens Casting act and the greatest in the varieties as on would imagine from the applause. Ten minutes full stage/ two shows. Biograph A Ride through the Subway Rather fakey in some scenes, Good. Story of the English Turf Good. A Father's Honor Rather dramatic. Good.
