PHILADELPHIA SHOW, JULY 3RD'05. COGHLAN-SR-3-Club swinging, using colored electric lamps as clubs. The man's work is only fair, but act is all right for an opener at the price. made little impression. 9 mins. Black drop in 3. THREE CONSTANTINE SISTERS-3-Acrobatic dancers, on the order of the Three Madcaps. only fair singer, but very good dancers. .Well liked by to-day's audience. Finish a little "leggy" or this house. Good act. 8 mins. Open in one. Gar in 3. Close in one. BROWNING, WELP & FRANKEL-GYH-3-Two women and a man, in a musical sketch entitled "The Widow Wise." This is quite a pretentious act for the three-a-day section, being especially well dressed. The comedy aroused quite a few laughs, and the musical numbers were all applauded. Good hand at finish. Good act. 22 mins. C.D.F. in 3. GARSON BROS.-NH-3-Hand and head balancers. Work in white suits in black cyclorama. Effective. These boys are fully as good as the average hand balancers. Their work is quick and accurate and was received with liberal applause. Good act. 10 mins. Black drop in 3. NIBLO & RILEY-KR-3-Two men, one working blackface, other kid makeup. Singing, comedy and dancing. The singing and comedy are fair, but the eccentric dancing is first-class and scored. Good act. 14 mins. Lansc. in 4. DARLING'S DOGS-NH-3-This is a pretty little act, but quiet. All the dogs are poodles, clean and well trained. Held the attention of the audience, but received little applause. Good at for the little folks. 12 mins. Gar in 3. TAYLOR HOLMES-GRR-2-Imitations of noted actors. First advance applause of the day, showing that he was remembered from the Bijou days. He caught on at the start with his stuttering declamation, and scored on all his imitations. Room in vaudeville for this man. Good act. 15 mins. in one. MAJESTIC FOUR-YRR-2-Four men, three working straight, one eccentric. Regulation musical act. The comedy is bad and cheapens the act. The instrumental work, outside of the saxaphones ,is quite good and was applauded. Only fiar two-a-day act. 20 mins. C.D.F. in 3. Close in one. BROS. DAMM-GYH-2-Eccentric acrobats, doing tumbling and balancing. They showed our patrons lots of new stuff, and as a result were the applause hit up to this point. They work perfectly together. Mighty good act. 8 mins. Wood in 4 VIOLET DALE-GMR-2-Imitations of well known actresses. Miss Dale is a young lady of much versatility, attractive, and knows how to dress. Was applauded for each imitation, and will make good for her billing. Good act. 13 mins. in one. [underlying paper pasted over by the above text] MOSHER, HOUGHTON & MOSHER-GMH-2-Bicyclists. Three men, two straight, one tramp makeup. As good a bicycle act as we play here. Some new stunts. Comedy, good. Plenty of applause. 12 mins. Lansc. in 4. BIOGRAPH--TOODLES AND HER STRAWBERRY TART Fair Comedy; BENEATH THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE, Good: FEEDING THE RUSSIAN BEAR, Good: A DAY AT CONEY ISLAND, Seasonable Picture for us At This Time of the Year. Good Comedy. COMMENT :-The show this week is a good one, and well balanced. The fact that every act but one, is new in this house is in its favor. Had a good house this afternoon and should do well this week. H. T. JORDAN.
