3. New York Criticism--April 30th, 1906. Hills & Wilson: 2 young men. Making a very pleasing appearance. Good voices and good dancers. Very neat opening act. 12 min. In one-3 Arno and Gunn: In their Irish comedy:-"Regan's Luck." A Pleasing little sketch for an opener. Finishes rather serious. It is well done and they managed to secure some applause. 12 min.-full st-3 Kenney & Hollis: 2 young men. One working straight, the other eccentric. Talking and singing with a few imitations. A good little three-show act. Alright for an early place. 14 min. In one-3 shows McCrea & Poole: One of the greatest sharp-shooting acts we play. All of his work received by big applause. 11 min.-full stage- 2 shows Werden & Gladdish: Semi-oil Paintings. As far as the views are concerned, this act is one of the best we ever had. The man is not much of a singer. The pictures are hand-painted and each one was strongly applauded. A little bit of a novelty the way the act is presented. 16 min.-2 shows Byers & Hermann: Acrobatic and contortion pantomime. One man is a pretty fair acrobat, while the other is a very good contortionist. Closed with a high-wire act. Good act of its kind. Finished to big applause. Improved greatly since the try-out of September 22d, 1905, but they are getting entirely too much money for the set. 14 min.--full stage- 2 Louis Granat: Whistler. First appearance in years. Has pleasing selections and finished to the biggest applause of any act on the bill up to this time. 11 min. In one- 3 shows Barrows-Lancaster Co: Presenting-"Tactics." Went fully as strong as when last here, the comedy going immensely. Man playing the opposite part to Barrows, c ould be improved upon. Received three curtain calls. 15 min. Frank D. Bryan's Girls: One of the best acts of this nature we ever had. Applause throughout and the hit of the show. 19 min.-full stage-op. In 1 Cliff Gordon: This man had them roaring from start to finish. Most all of his material is old, but it doesn't make anydierence, whatever he gives out--goes. 16 min. In one
