Delight Barsch and Broomstick Witches, 2 shows, 13 min. full stage---In a well-known vocal and dancing novelty. While the audience evidently appreciated the good looks of the girls, and the novelty of the act, it did not go nearly as well this afternoon as I expected. Perhaps this was owing to the very swift show which preceded it. In either case, I am leaving it in this spot to see if it will improve tonight, as it is the rational spot for it on this bill. Raymond and Caverly, 2 shows, 20 min. in 1--Well-known German comedians and burlesquers. Filled this spot acceptably today. Bedouin Arabs, 2 shows, 5 min. full stage--Whirlwind tumblers, acrobats and pyramid builders. While not up to Toozoonins', these people went big in this spot, the applause being almost continuous. Kinotograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1--Showing the following list of motion pictures: 1. The Recent San Francisco Disaster. A new film which started with a fake fire, but I cut it. The rest of the picture is quite satisfactory. 2. Playing Truants. Fair comedy film. Waldorf and Mendez, 3 shows, 10 min. full stage--Two men in a comedy acrobatic specialty. Quite a good turn of the sort that is deserving of a better spot than I can give it. Good act for the 3-a-day section. The Boldons, 3 shows, 13 min. in 1--Man and woman, "real coon" comedians, singers and dancers. These people are quite clever in their eccentric dancing, especially the man. I think they would make a good set in the late 3-a-day division. Mr. and Mrs. Hayman, 3 shows, 16 min. in 3--In the comedy sketch, "The New Stenographer", with vocal specialties, which if they left out altogether, would no doubt be appreciated. Neither can sing by any means. Never get better position in this house. Comment:- The show is a good one, and with any kind of weather, I do not see why we should not do an excellent business.
