76 The Zarrow Trio, 2 shows, 15 min. full stage--Three men, one working straight and two eccentric, in a comedy bicycle pantomime. They introduce every sort of a bicycle imaginable, and the "straight" rider is quite clever. Provoked lots of laughter and applause. Not strong enough to close an ordinary show, but do very well here in the summer. Kinetograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1--Showing the following list of interesting motion pictures: 1. Dogs Used as Smugglers. This is a capital picture that got lots of applause. I cut out the real ghastly spots of the shooting. 2. The Amorous Soldier. Fair comedy film 3. Letters Which Speak. Quite novel Rhodes and Carter, 3 shows, 15 min. full stage--Two men, one working straight, and the other eccentric, comedy acrobats. Have been commented upon in the other houses. Good act for the 3-show section. Lyric Trio, 3 shows, 15 min. in 1--Two men and a woman, in operatic selections. A very poor spot for an act of this quality, but it was the only place we could give it. Every selection strongly applauded. Wallace Trueman, 3 shows, 14 min. full stage--Tramp juggler, manipulating small articles, hats, etc. Good 3-show act. Al Burton, 3 shows, 14 min. in 1--Monologue and singing comedian. Well-known on the circuit. Too good an act to be wasted in such a spot as this. Comment:- The show I think will pan out to be quite a good one. I expect the Gleesons will pull out in the night show in good shape on rearrangement. Our 3-show section is exceptionally strong, I wish it might continue. The attendance was excellent this afternoon in spite of the fact that we had very good weather, and I see no reason why it should not continue for the balance of the week.
