---o(2)o--- JORDAN & HARVEY:--- A wise move made to put this act on early. Their material is inoffensive. Secured some laughs in spots. Sang two songs, which allowed them to leave the stage very quietly. They are miled [miles] behind any of the Hebrew Impersonators that played here recently. 16 min. in one QUAKER CITY QUARTET: This number is miles behind the old act. Only contains one of the old members,-Harry Earnest with the assistants of John Healy,-and one can imagine what the act is. While the voices are good and the selections pleased, the act has not got any body or general makeup. It lacks ginger. The best part of the act is their encore in one, which is Healy's stump speech and part of that will have to be eliminated, as it is offensive. Closed very tame this afternoon. At the night performance, they went much stronger. 23 min.-full stage- closed in about 10 min YOUNG & DEVOIE: Man and woman. Offering a very neat little dancing number. Woman makes an elegant appearance and quite an excellent dancer, while the man holds his own as an acrobatic dancer. Act is quite novel and pleased immensely. 10 min.-full stage- closed in one about 3 min-2 FRED KARNO'S PANTOMIME CO: Received a big lot of advance applause. Described in previous criticism. It is certainly rough comedy, but held the attention of the audience. They laughed and applauded continually. Closed very strong. Applause hit of the show. At the evening performance they received five curtain calls. 26 min.-full stage MUSICAL AVOLOS: All of their selections were strongly applauded. Big applause on the finish. 13 min. in one MELNOTTE, LaNOLE TRIO: 3 men. Two working straight, the other eccentric. Comedy in the act is not much, but the wire work is A-1. Some of their stunts are really remarkable and I fully believe-as good as any wire act we have ever had. All of their work was strongly applauded. Excellent wire act. 8 min.-full stage KINETOGRAPH: "Carpet Beating" French film. Fairly good comedy "Two Brave Children" Good "Personal" An old film, but some parts of it new. Received some good laughs. Alright for a repeat.
