251 251 TEMPLE DETROIT Jan 28, 1907 J. M. Finn. BERNAR'S MARIONETTES A very good mannikin act that got three curtain calls at the Monday matinee, and as many at night. 14 min. FS. REIFF BROTHERS An excellent singing and dancing act that fitted well in this spot. 13 min. in one. MR & MRS. GENE HUGHES Lillian Thurgate appeared in the place if Mrs. Hughes who is ill, and was better in the part than Mrs. Hughes. The old comedy or farce "Supressing the Press," was well received. 24 min. FS. BESSIE WYNN Miss Wynn's first appearance here was a decided success. She has a very pleasing stage presence, a very good soprano voice, and her songs fitted her well. 17 min. in one. EDWARD ARDEN & CO. This well known leading man, together with Roy Fairchild and Norma Winslow, gave is a dramatic playlet "Behind Closed Doors." The act is not well written, but its interpretation was excellent, and it got a fine hand at the close. 24 min. FS. HARRY GILFOIL. This well known farce-comedy actor was given a good hand when he appeared, and when he closed. He has changed his act around to some extent. 13 min. FS. 4 in one. BAILEY & AUSTIN This rough comedy was well received at both performances Monday, and was well suited to this spot. 13 min. FS. KINETOGRAPH "Picturesque Holland" is a beautifully colored film and the pictures, taken from life, created a great deal of interest. It would please our patrons very much if we had more real pictures of foreign countries and cities and less of the fake comedy sort. WEEDON'S LIONS This act closed our show in good shape. While the animals are not very large they are quite well trained and created a great deal of interest. 14 min. FS.
