[Text at top too light to read] #3.-Phila. SUTCLIFFE TROUPE, Scottish -act: 10 min. F.S. 2 shows. On at 10:08. This act was a very agreeable surprise. The six men and one woman come on the stage in most brilliant and showy costumes, and every man looks the real gentleman Scot. The bagpipes and drums, particularly the work of the bass drummer, are interesting, but the athletic work that follows is better, in fact right up to the standard. They got the house big. At the close they marched off to their own music. Got three curtain calls. Applause hit of the show in an early place in the afternoon and went big as a closer at night. papers favorably inclined towards them. KINETOGRAPH, THE FAN IN JAPAN:- Interesting film, showing manufacture of a fan from start to finish. COUNTRY SCHOOLMASTER:- This is a funny series and pleased the children. GENERAL REMARKS;- This is a peculiar show, for the reason that there is too much two-a-day and not enough three-a- day stuff to piee out. The substitution of GRAHAM, and BERZAC'S SEALS for MACY and HALL, and GRAY'S BABOONS strengthened the two-a-day time about twenty minutes, making the show run over. However, by transposition we managed to have a show that is right up to the standard in versatility and general interest, and all classes of our patrons seemed well pleased and the newspapers likewise. The blizzard has interfered but very little with our usual big business. NOTES:- B. F. GRAHAM & CO:-Cutting out the constant repetition of the word "devil." -o- FEJ.
