9. Fred H. Brandt CLEVELAND SHOW WEEK, FEB. 11, 1907 RADO AND BERTMAN: Eccentric Comedy and Acrobatic Sketch. Man and woman. This is a very good opening act. The woman makes four changes and the man doing some eccentric dancing, which received a good deal of applause. 14 Minutes. C. D. F. Close in one. 2 minutes. MAX MILLIAN Violinist. While Mr Max Millian is a very good violinist and went very well this afternoon, I think he was handicapped by the big hit the Ollivotti Troubadours made last week. Received just about enough applause at finish to play one encore. While with the Ollivotti Troubadours it was hard to make the audience stop applauding. C.D.F. 13 minutes. Close in one. 3 Minutes. KNIGHT BROTHERS AND MARION SAWTELLE: Twentieth Century Dancing Novelty. Two men and one woman. Two doing straight and one comedy. They open with a very neat song and dance, and was very glad to find that one of the men had a very good voice which we don't very often have with dancing acts. This is without exception a very clever singing and dancing act and should make good anywhere. Received applause during entire act. Full stage. Wood 1 Minutes. Close in one. 5 minutes. WILLIAM MAZUZ AND MISS ADELINE MAZETTE: Comedy Acrobatic Offering. This act is too well known on the circuit for any special comment but will say scored very heavy this afternoon. 15 Minutes. Full stage. BOB MATTHEWS AND HERBERT ASHLEY: "The Hebrew and the Cabman". This act is doing about the same thing they did when last seen here with the exception of a few new parodies which went very well. Very good act in one. 18 minutes. Special Drop. MERRI OSBORNE AND COMPANY: In, "Taming An Actress". This act is far from being what I expected of it. The story is by no means a new one, and was surprised to see it go as well as it did. The story is of two girls who are left in a very lonesome residence at night, and after Miss Osborne reads a letter from her sweetheart to her friend in regard to how he is going to tame her, they decide to go to bed. She then tells her friend that she would not marry her sweetheart except at the point of a revolver. They then go through the usual scene of hiding their jewels in the bed and looking under the bed for a man, and then turn out the lights, and immediately enters the burglar who makes all kind of demands upon them, such as, Bring me cigarettes and whiskey, and then makes her sing a song which is far from demanding any applause. He finnally finishes by making her sign a marriage contract, and then takes off his mask and of course its "Tom", Her sweetheart. Received Two Curtain calls. 15 minutes. Interior in 3. (NOTE) Miss Osborne claims she is not feeling well and that is why her performance dragged so to-day. GEORGE EVANS: Enough said he was the hit of the show and managed to keep the audience for about 25 minutes in continuous laughter. RAFAYETTE'S MARVELOUS ACROBATIC DOGS: This without a doubt is one of the best small dog acts we have had. They do a lot of stuffr which I have never seen here before, such as turning a back somersault from top of ladder to the man's head. Turning back somersaults over the backs of other dogs. 11 minutes. Palace.
